MCU fans who are anxiously awaiting to see Avengers: Doomsday are going to want to rush out to the theater to see Spider-Man 4.
Marvel and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will be released in United States theaters next July. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the film will see Tom Holland once again reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Avengers: Doomsday, meanwhile, then arrives in December 2026. There’s been no official word as of yet on whether or not Holland will appear in that movie, which is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers. A sequel to Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, will then be released in 2027.
Why will Avengers: Doomsday fans want to see Spider-Man 4 in theaters?
Yesterday, Collider reported that the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday will be attached to James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is being released on December 19.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios wants to release another Avengers: Doomsday trailer in July that is tied to Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
While this is only a rumor at this time, it seems likely that this would be the case. There’s been no word on whether or not these Avengers: Doomsday trailers will be released online immediately when they’re available to see it theaters, meaning fans are going to want to rush out to see Spider-Man 4 on the big screen as soon as possible in order to view the footage.
Spider-Man 4 — which also stars Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and more — arrives on July 31, 2026. Avengers: Doomsday has been dated for December 18, 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027.
