Fresh claims have emerged regarding Sadie Sink’s role in Spider-Man 4, with insider updates pointing to a specific character.
Jeff Sneider stated, “It’s true. Wow, it’s true. I hear that she is, in fact, playing Jean Grey,” adding that he had reported the same information earlier before walking it back amid conflicting reports, and that his current stance is based on more recent developments during the film’s production.
Speculation about Sink’s character began after her casting announcement in March 2025, with multiple reports attempting to identify her role.
Scooper Cryptic HD QUALITY claimed that she is playing Jean Grey, a theory that had already gained traction among fans. Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the role.
Deadline reported that “the prevailing theory is she’ll be introduced as X-Men character Jean Grey,” aligning with Sneider’s earlier report from December 2024. Sadie Sink publicly denied the rumor shortly after her casting, which added to ongoing uncertainty. Jean Grey traditionally appears as an X-Men character. Marvel Studios has not previously introduced her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Additional reports further fueled speculation by describing a character with similar abilities and traits.
