A new rumor about the upcoming Spider-Man 4 hints at who could be playing the main villain in the movie, and it’s a face all MCU fans will recognize.
What is the latest Spider-Man 4 rumor?
According to several insiders on X over the weekend, the latest rumor points to none other than Hulk being one of the main villains in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Specifically, the version of Hulk that is known as “Savage Hulk,” an alter ego of the character that is particularly aggressive.
It is savage Hulk.

The guy who said Tombstone, Scorpion, and Boomerang were part of the BND sizzle reel a few days ago also saw Hulk in it (although I don't think the main villain part is true) pic.twitter.com/6RAPwUYxJ7

The insiders who commented on the matter didn’t share much else other than brief teases that it would be Hulk. Last week, when Disney showed off a sizzle reel of Brand New Day, people noted that other villains teased in it were Tombstone, Scorpion, and Boomerang, so it’s unclear exactly how all would fit into the movie.
Also unclear is how the Hulk would go from being the mild-mannered brute he was in his latest MCU appearances to a more savage persona. It’s possible that a multiversal angle could come into play, but we’ll have to wait for more information.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026, with the film releasing ahead of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027) following delays.
