Bunny-Man: Mike Tyson Is Playing Himself in New Superhero Movie

Mike Tyson will be playing himself in an obscure new superhero movie, Bunny-Man.

Per Variety, Tyson will appear as himself in a new “offbeat superhero movie” that’s currently filming in Italy.

The announcement was made at a press conference held in Turin with Tyson, producer Andrea Iervolino, and writer Enrico Remmert. Bunny-Man’s director has not been announced at this time.

What is Bunny-Man about?

According to Variety, Bunny-Man “involves a multimillionaire superhero who strikes against evil forces in anonymity wearing a rabbit mask. He is driven by the desire to avenge his sister who committed suicide after suffering a violent act, images of which wound up on the internet.”

“We are excited to embark on this innovative project, 95% of which will be shot on a virtual set,” Iervolino said. “We are redefining the boundaries of cinematographic creativity with the goal of offering the audience a unique experience.”

Iervolino added, “We are also proud to have a legend like Mike Tyson in our cast, who will certainly help make Bunny-Man even more special.”

The rest of the cast of Bunny-Man is being kept under wraps at this time.

Iervolino previously produced 2023’s Ferrari, 2022’s Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend, 2019’s Waiting for the Barbarians, and 2014’s The Humbling, among other titles, while Remmert previously wrote 2008’s Waiting for the Sun and a short film from 2018 called Room 101.

While primarily known for being a boxer, Tyson has starred in a number of movies before. He notably played a version of himself in 2009’s The Hangover and 2011’s The Hangover Part II, while he also appeared in 2013’s Scary Movie 5, 2015’s Ip Man 3, 2022’s Vendetta, and other films.

A release date for Bunny-Man has not yet been set.
