Spider-Man: No Way Home Action Figures Reveal New Movie Costumes

Marvel and Sony have been pretty tight-lipped regarding plot or details from the next Spider-Man film. Thanks to Alfred Molina, we know that his version of Doc Ock will return, but everything else so far is conjecture. Except that now that some Marvel Legends Spider-Man: No Way Home action figures have showcased some images, we know a little more. Two characters we knew would return — Doctor Strange and  J. Jonah Jameson — see plastic once more in newer forms. And Spider-Man himself? He gets two new costumes.

One of the outfits looks to be a black and gold redeco of the last movie suit. The second seems a more streamlined version of the Iron Spider armor, which, after all, he left at home in the last film. With the caveat that Marvel Legends figures don’t necessarily represent the movie, these designs do appear across other merchandise like LEGO. And they’re on most of the official merchandise packaging. Jameson’s original action figure from the first Sam Raimi movie became a notoriously poor seller, but that was before J.K. Simmons got known as a beloved Oscar winner and insurance pitchman. Plus there’s likely a must-have build-a-figure we can’t see yet.

Generally a Marvel Legends wave includes 6-7 figures, and typically the rest would be comic-based. However, given the secrecy surrounding this movie so far, that’s pure conjecture. But if Sony’s ready to showcase merchandise, we ought to see a full trailer relatively soon.

What do you think of the No Way Home action figures so far? Leave us your thoughts in comments.
