Marvel Reveals the Full Cast of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

When Marvel Studios announced Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, it offered an incomplete picture of who was playing whom. Only Simu Liu and Tony Leung were confirmed as Shang-Chi and his father, the Mandarin, respectively. However, Kevin Feige finally revealed who the rest of the cast is playing during the Disney Investment Day presentation.

Awkwafina had been rumored to have been cast as a character from the Master of Kung Fu comics. Instead, she’ll portray Katy, a friend of Shang-Chi, who finds herself wrapped up in the insanity of his life. Leung’s Mandarin is also getting a proper name: Wenwu. The Mandarin is the leader of the Ten Rings terrorist group who appeared in the first Iron Man movie. According to Marvel, the film will follow Shang-Chi as he confronts “the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.”
