Sony Announces Production Has Wrapped on the Uncharted Movie

Sony Pictures has officially called cut on the filming of the upcoming Uncharted movie. If that seems fast, keep in mind that production started in Germany back in spring. It had to be halted due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe, but then it resumed in mid-July. Tom Holland and the rest of the cast shot their scenes for the last three months, even if promotional material from the movie has just begun to pop up online. And speaking of Holland, he is now free to return as the web-slinger once again on the set of Sony’s Spider-Man 3, which is beginning production.

Now that production has ended, expect more promotional material to be released.

In the meantime, Mark Wahlberg has taken to Twitter to share a photo of his character’s iconic shirt. In the upcoming movie, Wahlberg will portray Victor “Sully” Sullivan, a mentor and paternal figure for Nathan Drake. The photo features another of Sully’s distinguishing features: his cigars. You can take a look at the picture below.

According to Sony’s current plans, Uncharted should debut in theaters in 2021, on July 16.
