WWE superstar CM Punk recently opened up about whether or not he would ever appear in a superhero movie, and also his takes on the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Speaking to ComingSoon, Punk was asked about his excitement level for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. Punk is an avid fan of the group, and has even co-opted The Thing’s “It’s Clobberin’ Time!” motto in his in-ring persona.
Punk joked that he was a bit jealous of Ebon-Moss Bachrach, but that he was excited to see the movie.
“I’m a little bit envious, but yeah, I am 100% on board with it,” said Punk. “This Thing looks like The Thing. So, I can’t wait. We’ve had some pretty stinky Fantastic Four movies in the past, so I’m looking for this one to be a palate cleanser.”

As for whether or not he would ever appear in a superhero movie, Punk said he “of course” would. However, he did note that he does have to decide carefully on what projects to give up time for.
“Of course. But I look at every project that comes across my desk as “Is this something that I have the time for? Can I sacrifice for this?” I take ’em as they come. My main thing about TV and movies and the acting side of things is I just wanna work with really cool people, really creative people, and I wanna learn while I’m doing it.”
