The Survivors Fight Like Hell in The Walking Dead Season 11 Trailer

The Survivors Fight Like Hell in The Walking Dead Season 11 Trailer

In less than a month, AMC will kick off The Walking Dead’s long goodbye. Today’s [email protected] panel for the acclaimed zombie series confirmed that the network was splitting the show’s last season into three sets of eight episodes. Now, we finally have our first look at the season’s opening salvo. During the panel, the series’ cast and crew dropped a supercharged new trailer that teases what we can expect from The Walking Dead’s swan song. Check it out for yourself below.

The trailer is jam-packed with several fan-favorites, including Gabriel, Judith, Maggie, Ezekiel, Connie, Magna, Jerry, Aaron, Kelly, Eugene, and Negan. Obviously, we already know that at least two major fixtures won’t be kicking the bucket this year. The series’ longest-tenured characters, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride), will eventually headline their own spinoff after the main series ends sometime in 2022. But for everyone else, survival isn’t guaranteed. Though this doesn’t mean they’re not going to give the undead (along with some new living adversaries) everything they’ve got.

The new season will also bring a handful of new characters into the fold as well. Michael James Shaw and Margot Bingham previously joined the series as Mercer and Stephanie, respectively. But today, AMC revealed that Laila Robins and Josh Hamilton will also appear as Pamela Milton and Lance Hornsby.

This wasn’t today’s only big Walking Dead news. AMC also announced that Fear the Walking Dead will premiere its seventh season on October 17. Additionally, the network confirmed that the second and final season of its latest spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, will debut two weeks earlier on October 3.

The Walking Dead will launch its 11th and final season on August 22 on AMC. Fans can also watch the premiere episode a week early on August 15 with an AMC+ subscription.
