The IDW series tells of Keyhouse, a New England mansion with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them. The building is also home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all.
On Saturday, Orci tweeted the following:
“@corpse_bride17: Oh PLEASE say that the rumor about you and Kurtzman making #LockeAndKey a film trilogy is true. PLEASE PLEASE!” true

Hill followed suit earlier today, linking to a story at io9:
I don’t think I can say anything about a possible LOCKE & KEY trilogy, but I think it’s ok to retweet links: io9.com/5957862/robert…

Last year, Locke & Key was developed as a Fox pilot directed by Mark Romanek and featuring a script by Orci and his screenwriting partner, Alex Kurtzman. Orci and Kurtzman also produced alongside Steven Spielberg and Josh Friedman, but the network elected not to bring the show to series.
At the moment, there are few confirmed details regarding the potential trilogy and it is unknown whether or not Spielberg, Friedman and Romanek are still involved. Check back for more information as it becomes available.
