New Spider-Man: No Way Home Spot Offers More Multiverse Hints

With just over three weeks left until Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters, Sony and Marvel are still keeping a lid on those pesky rumors about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s return to the franchise. Regardless, this isn’t keeping the studios from releasing new TV spots that all but confirm the appearance of multiple Spider-Men. And the film’s latest promo is no different. Check it out for yourself below.

The new spot once again features Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, an interdimensional escapee from 2004’s Spider-Man 2. While being interrogated by Doctor Strange, the supervillain reveals that he knows Spider-Man’s true identity. But he also lets slip that the Peter Parker in his universe looks nothing like Tom Holland. It isn’t much, but it definitely sets the stage for Maguire’s possible comeback. And with Electro and the Lizard showing up as well, Garfield may not be far behind.

Since Doc Ock appears to have been captured by Strange and Peter, he might be forced to play the role of reluctant ally in the new film. However, he and Strange aren’t the only ones lending Peter a hand next month. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also back as MJ and Ned, respectively, and they’re both ready to help round up some “multiverse men.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home opens on December 17. Tickets for the film go on sale this Monday, November 29.
