According to What’s on Netflix, the movie leaves August 1, 2026. Subscribers now have only a few days remaining. David Soren directed the animated family superhero comedy movie. Nicholas Stoller wrote the screenplay for the DreamWorks release.
The story is based on Dav Pilkey’s popular books. Kevin Hart voices George Beard throughout the animated film. Thomas Middleditch voices Harold Hutchins beside his best friend. Ed Helms plays strict principal Benjamin Krupp in the movie. The family comedy was released back in June 2017.
The story follows two best friends, George and Harold. Their nonstop pranks keep frustrating Krupp almost daily. He decides to separate the two boys into different school classes. George then used a cereal box 3-D Hypno-Ring. They convince him he is Captain Underpants, turning back into himself whenever water touches him and becoming the superhero again with a finger snap.
Things become more dangerous when the new science teacher, Professor Poopypants, teams up with Melvin to unleash the giant Turbo Toilet 2000 and remove laughter from the world. A strange accident later gives him actual superpowers instead.
Captain Underpants battles Professor Poopypants with George and Harold by his side. The friends risk everything to stop his dangerous plans. Every challenge brings them closer as they fight together. Captain Underpants faces trouble that tests his courage and heart.
The movie mixes superhero action, comedy, love, and friendship. It grossed over $125 million worldwide. Critics gave the movie 87%, while the audience score stands at 63% on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans still have few days before the movie leaves Netflix.
