Jake Gyllenhaal Shows It’s Not Easy Being Mysterio

It can’t be easy living with Mysterio’s fishbowl helmet. Sure, being able to project illusions on command and fly around looks like fun. But being forced to travel across the multiverse? That can really be tough on anyone. Still, if anyone can do it, it’s Jake Gyllenhall. He portrays Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home; which is set to hit theaters next week. Recently, Gyllenhall chose to have some fun with his role on Instagram.

In the video, Gyllenhall shows us the difficulty of doing even simple tasks while wearing Mysterio’s helmet. He fumbles around while Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All” blares in the background. No wonder he curses under his breath.

The video already has over 1.3 million views, along with a number of comments from fans. But Jon Watts, the director of Far From Home, easily had the best response: “This should have been our post credits gag.”

Don’t worry, as there’s always the chance to do more for the Blu-ray. Who wouldn’t love to see Gyllenhaal doing a series of videos as Mysterio struggling to do day-to-day chores?

Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives in theaters on July 2. What do you think of this video? Let us know in the comment section below!
