Disneyland Shares the First Look at Avengers Campus’ Spider-Bots

Last week, Disney’s Imagineers treated Marvel fans to new looks at several attractions coming to Avengers Campus. The upcoming park expansion gives guests the chance to immerse themselves in Marvel lore, as well as a new Spider-Man-themed ride where visitors get to help the webslinger wrangle up an army of Spider-Bots that are running amok. Fortunately, the fun doesn’t have to end after you leave the park. Fans will also get to go home with their own remote-controlled Spider-Bots. Now, Disneyland has released a new video showcasing their design. Check it out for yourself below.

Avengers Campus houses the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (W.E.B.), an organization created by Tony Stark to develop new high tech gadgetry for Peter Parker’s alter-ego. These Spider-Bots are just one of the many gadgets that will be on display when the park finally opens its doors. As the video shows, the bots come with a full range of movement along with sound effects that simulate a “blast attack.” It looks like guests can even have their own duels anywhere on the park grounds.

As a bonus, fans won’t have to wait for Avengers Campus’ grand opening to snag one of these robots. Annual Passholders can bring one home by signing up for a special pre-sale event in the Downtown Disney District. This event lasts from November 30 to December 3 and also promises early dibs on other Avengers Campus merchandise. Non-passholders can purchase their own Spider-Bots at the World of Disney and Disneyland Resort Backlot Premiere Shop starting next Friday, December 4.
