UPDATE: Batmobile Spotted on the Arthur Set

The Batmobile from Batman Forever was spotted in New York's financial district today. Warner Bros. started shooting the comedy remake Arthur today and it looks like the Batmobile (and maybe Batman?) will be appearing in the film thanks to this photo from 'NY Olive.'

Starring Russell Brand, Greta Gerwig, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte, the new version follows a very rich, happy drunk who is told by his mother that he must marry the wealthy girl of her choosing or else lose his inheritance, just as he meets a poor girl and falls in love.

I thought they burned that version of the Batmobile...or I wished they did, anyway.

And a remake of Arthur with Russell Brand? Jesus, is Hollywood really that bankrupt of ideas?

Huh, wonder if they'll keep the theme song by Christopher Cross. If it's going to suck, might as well make it suck all the way.

Incidentally, I liked the original, but I agree with Fuad... it shows a complete lack of new ideas from WB.

Looks a hell of a lot better without the oversized central bat wing fin.
