Sony Announces Spider-Man: Miles Morales For Playstation 5

Two years ago, Insomniac’s Spider-Man PS4 aka Marvel’s Spider-Man gave fans one of the best comic book inspired video games ever. But Sony isn’t holding back on the sequel for much longer. At the Playstation 5 Future of Gaming online event, Sony revealed that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch later this year alongside the PS5!

The reveal trailer indicates that Miles is stepping into the role of Spider-Man as Peter Parker gives him a pep talk. Near the end of Spider-Man PS4, Miles was bitten by a radioactive spider and developed powers of his own. Additionally, the DLC story, The City That Never Sleeps, indicated that Peter was training Miles how to use his powers.

There’s currently no indication that Peter Parker will be a playable character in this game. Regardless, Miles has a few powers that Peter doesn’t have. He can generate venom blasts through his hands, which can stun opponents. Miles can also briefly camouflage himself and seemingly become invisible. Both of those abilities would potentially add a new layer to the gameplay.

What do you think about the first look at Spider-Man: Miles Morales? And do you think Peter will eventually get his own game again? Let us know in the comment section below!
