Marvel Studios could be working on a brand new Disney+ TV show that would feature some of its biggest characters yet, according to a new report.
What do we know about a new Marvel Disney+ TV show?
In a new post on social media from insider James Mack, he noted that Marvel is planning to make a new animated Avengers series for Disney+. He didn’t mention much else about the project, but the report did come in response to a question about any plans for a new season of Marvel Zombies or Marvel’s What If…?
Should an animated Avengers series eventually come to Disney+, it would likely collect some of the biggest and most well-known heroes in Marvel Studios. It’s unclear if any of the stars who play them in the MCU would lend their voices to the role, however. While shows like What If…? have seen high-profile actors return to reprise their roles, other projects have had other voice actors attached.
Currently, Marvel has a litany of animated projects available on Disney+, including newer shows like the Marvel Zombies miniseries. Recently, Marvel Studios has also earned praise for its work in animation, with shows like X-Men ’97 and Eyes of Wakanda earning acclaim for their work.
Up next for Marvel Studios on Disney+ is the series Wonder Man, a live-action project set to release on January 27, 2026. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will also release on March 4, 2026, and VisionQuest and a second season of the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man are set to premiere sometime later this year.
