Ever since we learned in part one of Stranger Things 4 that Kate Bush’s “Running up That Hill” served as Max’s anchor to reality, the song has gotten everywhere. It’s topping streaming charts and giving new life to an ’80s hit that wasn’t necessarily one of the ones that gets play on retro radio stations. Kate Bush herself is enjoying the new resurgence and cash inflow. And having used the song effectively in one of its most emotional moments, Stranger Things is not above milking that effect to hook viewers on the next trailer. Take a look in the player below:
The show previously spread its heroes to the four winds, but this new reel gives us a hint at their return to ground zero in Hawkins to face an exceedingly confident Vecna. Eleven may have her powers back, but they’re minor compared to the abilities of her predecessor. Meanwhile, it looks like Hopper and company might still be stuck in Russia for a while. And is that Eddie getting hold of a guitar to rock out on?
Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 will hit Netflix on July 1 in two feature-length episodes.
