Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 Teaser Sets Up Vecna’s Revenge

Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 Teaser Sets Up Vecna’s Revenge

The latest season of Stranger Things has easily been the biggest one yet. After three years away from Hawkins, the series finally returned to Netflix last month with seven super-sized episodes and two more on the way. Only three weeks are left until Volume 1’s massive cliffhanger ending is resolved. But before that happens, viewers can check out a smattering of new footage in Netflix’s official teaser for Stranger Things 4 Volume 2.

If you’ve already finished Volume 1, then you’ve seen this preview before. Netflix originally snuck it in as a post-credits stinger for “The Massacre at Hawkins Lab,” which featured several bombshell revelations and shed new light on Eleven’s ties to the Upside Down. And now that we know who Vecna really is under all that prosthetic makeup, anticipation for the last two chapters is at an all-time high.

For now, the show’s principal characters remain scattered in various locations. So there’s no way of knowing whether they’ll all reunite in time for the grand finale. Regardless, Netflix is giving them some extra wiggle room this year. Episodes 8 and 9 will be that longest episodes that Stranger Things has ever produced, with “Chapter 8: Papa” clocking in at one hour and 25 minutes. But that’s nothing compared to the season’s final installment, “Chapter 9: The Piggyback,” which boasts a feature-length runtime of two and a half hours.

Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 will hit Netflix on July 1.
