Netflix Releases New Images From The Umbrella Academy Season 3

Our first real look at the new season of The Umbrella Academy is finally here. Netflix has spent the last few weeks teasing the show’s return with character posters featuring the members of the Hargreeves family and their counterparts in the Sparrow Academy. Now, we have a better idea of what will happen when these characters begin sharing the same reality. Netflix has dropped 13 new photos from The Umbrella Academy season 3. You can view these images in the gallery at the bottom of the post.

The titular super-team memorably capped off their second season by averting the apocalypse (again) in 1963. They returned to the present day to find that things seemed a bit…off. Namely, the Umbrella Academy ceased to exist, and in its place, another team of young heroes had formed under the harsh tutelage of Sir Reginald Hargreeves. This new team (the Sparrows) notably included one familiar face, Ben, who has been long dead in the Umbrellas’ timeline. But he’s joined by a roster of other characters making their series debut in a little over a month.

Many of the new stills feature the show’s returning cast members. However, others highlight the new additions to the series’ cast. That includes Marcus (Justin Cornwell), the “Number 1” of the Sparrows’ universe. There are also some new shots of his teammates Fei (Britne Oldford), Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez), Jayme (Cazzie David), and Alphonso (Jake Epstein). Additionally, one of the images confirms the return of Ritu Arya’s Lila, who was introduced in season 2 and later revealed be another superpowered child born on that fateful day in 1989.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 hits Netflix on June 22.
