Though her story arc appeared to conclude in Avengers: Endgame, we now hear word that Peggy Carter could appear in the upcoming Agents of SHIELD Season 7. In 2015, ABC produced Agent Carter, a show focused on Peggy Carter and her life as a secret SHIELD agent. The network, however, canceled the show after a couple of seasons due to scarce viewership.
Peggy Carter made her first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger. She then reprised her role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, and more recently in Avengers: Endgame.
Fandom Wire is claiming Hayley Atwell will reprise her role for the final season of the ABC Studios show. A photo uploaded on Instagram by Agents of SHIELD star Ming-Na Wen is fuelling the rumors of Carter’s appearance. The photo shows some personalized bikes, with one having a tag with the name Enver Gjokaj on it. He played her lover Daniel Souza in Agent Carter. Season 6 did end in time travel, albeit to a different period than World War II. If Atwell appears, there will have to be at least one more time jump.
