Ming-Na Wen Shares Her Response to Final Day of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Several Marvel fans were probably disappointed when they learned that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be ending next year. It’s been a wild ride that’s featured the team of spies, scientists, and Inhumans confronting everyone from traitors within their own ranks to alien despots of the future. But of course, everything eventually comes to an end.

Production on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s seventh season has been underway for a few months. However, today marks the show’s last day of filming. Ming-Na Wen, who has played Melinda May on the series since it began in 2013, shared this news via an emotional message on Twitter. You can check out what she had to say below.

Once Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concludes its run next year, it will officially become the longest-running TV series based on a Marvel property. As Wen’s tweet demonstrates, the camaraderie between the characters was more than a performance. Although some cast members have come and gone, the bond between mainstays like Wen, Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, and the rest is clear to see. Their bond is one of the reasons the show has lasted seven seasons.

The sixth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will wrap up on August 2. The seventh and final season will premiere sometime in 2020. You can share your thoughts on Wen’s farewell to the series in the comment section below!
