Inde Navarrette has reportedly turned down a major role in a horror movie. The alleged decision came after her breakout success in Obsession
Navarrette has garnered some significant recognition following her performance in Curry Barker’s film. Following the movie’s success, the 25-year-old actress began attracting significant attention. According to updates from Page Six Hollywood, the Obsession star had turned down a major horror-movie role. The project was to be directed by Mattias Hoehne. Navarrette reportedly would have received $2.5 million for the role had she accepted the offer.
The actress turned down the offer because she wanted to move forward with her Marvel project. In a recent announcement at D23, Navarrette officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, alongside Adam Driver, Sadie Sink, Kit Connor and other cast members.

Inde Navarrette’s Hollywood momentum was already building before her Marvel casting
Although the 25-year-old prioritized her Marvel role, her career had been gaining momentum well before her MCU casting. According to further updates, Navarrette is also set to work with Hoehne on a separate horror project. The project is titled Invertigo. Per the details provided, the film will follow several teenagers who become stranded on a roller coaster after a system failure.
Meanwhile, Navarrette has also made headlines following her casting in the X-Men reboot. While Sadie Sink as Jean Grey was already confirmed, Navarrette was introduced alongside Kit Connor (Cyclops), Samara Weaving (Emma Frost), Maya Boyd (Storm), Christopher Abbott (Professor X), and Adam Driver (Mister Sinister). The Obsession star will play the role of Rogue.
The standalone X-Men movie does not currently have a confirmed release date. Since the announcement came shortly before two major Avengers releases, there has been speculation about whether the new X-Men, including Navarrette, will appear in those films. However, Marvel has not officially announced the presence of any of the new X-Men cast members in the Avengers movie yet.
