Meanwhile, Paul Bettany reprises his role as Vision in the upcoming Disney+ miniseries. Terry Matalas serves as showrunner after Marvel Studios hired him to redevelop the project. Specifically, the series follows White Vision as he attempts to understand his identity through AI personas embedded in his programming. James Spader returns as Ultron alongside a cast that includes Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, and T’Nia Miller.
Additionally, VisionQuest serves as the final installment in a trilogy that began with WandaVision. The series continued with Agatha All Along before leading into this new chapter. Bettany described the show as exploring intergenerational trauma with fathers and sons. Furthermore, Matalas has said each episode feels like a different kind of film.
Marvel debuted the first trailer at Disney’s D23 convention in August 2026. Notably, the trailer drew descriptions ranging from “trippy” to “mind-bending” from major outlets. VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, and will consist of eight episodes as part of Phase Six.
