Jensen Ackles says he ‘wasn’t prepared for’ a shocking scene in The Boys Season 5
Jensen Ackles recently attended a fan convention celebrating 20 years of his series Supernatural, when he revealed how a scene from The Boys Season 5 left him speechless.
The actor recalled that he entered the scene as Soldier Boy, and when he turned the corner, he went, “Oh my god.” He added, “That wasn’t my line, and I was supposed to stay there. But I hadn’t seen what was going on. We’d blocked it out. We rehearsed it. Things changed when the camera was rolling, and I hadn’t seen it. And I walked in and it was, ‘Dear God,’ and I just walked back out.”
Ackles further details the reaction of the crew on set and conveyed, “They were like, ‘Uh, cut?’ And I was like, ‘I’m sorry. I wasn’t prepared for that. And I don’t think anybody else will be either.”
Ackles’ confession sent the crowd at the convention laughing. The Boys Season 5 is one of the most anticipated shows. Sharing the announcement of wrapping up Season 5 filming, creator and showrunner Eric Kripke wrote on Instagram, “This is the last time I’ll ever be on this set. It’ll be torn down soon. It’s bittersweet, but my primary feeling is gratitude. We have the best cast, the best crew, the most fun story to write, and something that is impossible to predict: the right timing.”
