Supergirl Fans Confused as Star Wars Character Seemingly Appears in DCU Poster

The worlds of DC and Star Wars have collided in the Supergirl movie. Not officially, but a strange turn of events has left fans confused and questioning what exactly is going on. A new movie poster has become the subject of curiosity on social media.

What do we know about the Supergirl and Star Wars poster situation?

Several fans have recently noticed that a new official Supergirl merchandise poster appears to feature Lexo Sooger, an alien character who briefly appeared in the Canto Bight sequence of 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

It all began when DC shared a new Supergirl poster created by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic artist Bilquis Evely. The moment it went viral, fans were quick to notice striking similarities between the alien featured in the poster and Lexo Sooger from The Last Jedi.

Theories are circulating online that the artist behind the poster may have used the wrong reference for the creature. Interestingly, DC has yet to comment on the matter.

One fan described the ongoing situation as “wild” because it’s not just another case of partial similarity between two characters from completely different fictional universes. The fan wrote, “Maybe there is some explanation here. Maybe it was licensed. Maybe it is the strangest coincidence in recent comic art history.”

Another user echoed the same sentiment, saying, “There’s a very similar creature design and it looks like Bilquis just got the wrong reference somehow.”
