Then, reflecting on what it’s like to make a film with Waititi and Hemsworth, the Men in Black: International actress remarked, “It’s so goofy making those movies sometimes. The mechanism of making those films requires a place of pure imagination, you know, where you just have to play like a kid.”
Additionally, Thompson elaborated on why she decided to take up the role of Valkyrie in Marvel. “I really wanted to make a movie like that, because I’m not sure I can do that, and I really want to figure out if I can. And it was just so fun. It really, really freed me up,” she stated.
Tessa Thompson’s upcoming release, Hedda, is an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler. Speaking about taking up such a demanding role, she said, “I really like to do things that terrify me, I really like that.”
