A new rumor on the planned Teen Titans movie suggests which version of Robin might appear in the upcoming DCU movie.
What Robin might appear in the Teen Titans movie?
According to noted insider Daniel Richtman (also known as DanielRPK), it’s currently unclear whether the Teen Titans movie or DC Studios’ planned Batman: Brave and the Bold will come out first. That will be important to figure out, though, as Richtman notes that it will dictate which Robin appears in Teen Titans.
Richtman says that if Teen Titans comes out first, it’ll likely be Tim Drake as the Robin in Brave and the Bold. Should Brave and the Bold come out with a different Robin, then it’ll be that Robin showing up in Teen Titans.
Currently, little is known about either the Teen Titans or Batman movie. The live-action Teen Titans movie will be written by Ana Nogueira. This isn’t Nogueira’s only ongoing work at DC Studios, as she’s also penning the upcoming film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Nogueira is both a writer and an actor. She wrote the 2016 play Empathitrax and wrote and starred in the 2018 short film We Win. As an actor, she has appeared on shows like Hightown, The Vampire Diaries, The Blacklist, and The Michael J. Fox Show.
The Teen Titans first appeared in July 1964 in DC’s The Brave and the Bold #54. The team has proven to be rather popular over the years, with famous heroes like Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, Blue Beetle, Miss Martian, and Aqualad being part of it at different times.
Famously, the Teen Titans led an animated series from 2003 to 2006 that amassed a large following of fans over the years, while the more recent comedic animated series Teen Titans Go! began in 2013 and is still running on Cartoon Network to this day.
