Patrick Stewart is opening up about filming his scenes in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Stewart was asked about what it was like filming his scenes in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and whether or not he was alone when filming the scene where the Illuminati is taken down by Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.
“I was alone,” Stewart confirmed. “I think that the big scene, each one of the leading actors had the same experience. They were shot on their own.” Stewart went on to call the experience “frustrating and disappointing.” He added, “That’s how it’s been. The last few years have been challenging.”
What is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness about?

Directed by Sam Raimi, the MCU film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.
Stewart reprises his role as Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse; albeit, a Charles Xavier from a different universe than the one where Fox’s X-Men movies are set. When asked if he would be returning for Avengers: Secret Wars, Stewart told Etalk in December 5, 2023, “I cannot put it to rest because it’s not a fact either for or against. It is a possibility. Hugh Jackman and I looked upon Logan as being our farewell, given that I died in that film. Although, I’ve been told I actually died several times already.”
