The global pandemic outbreak might have forced Marvel Studios to change its release schedule plans for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but they are working incessantly to get things back on track. One of the most important installments in the next season of the MCU is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which has finally found a composer for its score. It will be up to Danny Elfman to work side-by-side with director Sam Raimi to give the perfect results for Dr. Stephen Strange’s fans.
“I am starting to do bits of pre-work for Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi’s directing,” Elfman said while talking with Inverse. “Even though I don’t start it for some months, there’s bits of recorded music they need for the sets.”
It will hardly be Elfman’s first foray into the MCU as well. Back in 2015, he scored Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. On top of that, he also worked on 1989’s Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mission: Impossible, among others.

Most details from the upcoming movie are still under wraps. However, it is known that it will be deeply connected to the events of WandaVision. On top of that, Elizabeth Olsen will resume her role as Wanda Maximoff to join Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange in the upcoming adventures of Marvel’s Master of the Mystic Arts. According to the producers, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will open on March 25, 2022.
