Rachel McAdams Will Return For Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Back in February, the early word was that Rachel McAdams would not be back for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, a new report from Deadline states that McAdams will reprise her role as Dr. Christine Palmer.

Deadline also notes that it’s unclear how big McAdams’ part will be in the sequel. But she will reunite with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange. The film is expected  to begin production after Cumberbatch finishes shooting his part in Spider-Man 3.

Elisabeth Olsen is also starring in the sequel. She will reprise her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. Additionally, the upcoming WandaVision and Loki series will tie-in with Dr. Strange’s next adventure.

Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor will likely return as Wong and Mordo, respectively. The post-credits scene in Doctor Strange set the stage for Mordo’s villainous turn in the future.  Xochitl Gomez has been cast in an undisclosed role.

Sam Raimi will direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce Raimi’s involvement.
