Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has revealed the Godzilla: King of the Monsters home media release date with the film set to stomp into the digital market on August 6 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 27. Check the 4K Ultra HD art cover below, and also pre-order your copy by clicking here!

Special features for the release include a commentary by director Michael Dougherty and behind-the-scenes videos showing the creation of Godzilla and the other monsters. Additionally, there will be a number of deleted scenes, and possibly a teaser for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong.

The Godzilla sequel stars Vera Farmiga (Up in the AirThe Conjuring films), Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall StreetManchester by the Sea), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Bradley Whitford (Get Out), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), as well as Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Aisha Hinds (Star Trek Into Darkness), and Zhang Ziyi (Memoirs of a GeishaCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai) and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), both reprise their Godzilla roles.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters. The mighty Godzilla collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy. Leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance!

Michael Dougherty directs from a script he co-wrote with Zach Shields. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Brian Rogers and Thomas Tull produced, with Barry H. Waldman, as well as Zach Shields, Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira serving as executive producers. Moreover, Alexandra Mendes is co-producing for Legendary.
