Season 8 aired its final episode on July 27, 2025. Similar to the previous season, it had a total of 10 episodes. Additionally, fans were curious about the show’s follow-ups. Rick and Morty will return with Season 9, and Adult Swim announced Season 10 in 2023. The show has already been confirmed for Season 12. Executive producers Dan Harmon and Scott Marder announced this decision during a panel at the 2024 New York Comic Con.
Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, stated, “From Season One, ‘Rick and Morty’ set a new standard in adult animation and has shown no signs of stopping.” He continued, “Dan, Scott, and the rest of the immensely talented team behind ‘Rick and Morty’ are constantly outdoing themselves, and I’ll be joining the millions of fans around the world in looking forward to more adventures in the years to come.” Dan Harmon added, “Nobody wants a universe without Rick and Morty.
