Mezco Gives Silent Hill 2’s Red Pyramid Thing a Detailed Action Figure
Silent Hill‘s Pyramid Head is just one of those instant classic video game character designs. You see him and you never forget him. Gaming has its fair share of giant, gray-skinned, undead looking things with oversized weapons. But stick a pyramid over its head, and the trope becomes unique. According to Mezco, however, we’ve been naming him wrong. Their official action figure, now up for preorder, bears the official name of “Red Pyramid Thing.”
That may sound more vague and less specific, but since neither name likely appears on any birth certificate, they both work.
From the official description: “Red Pyramid Thing has become the most well-known monster in the Silent Hill franchise. As the manifestation of James Sunderland’s desire for punishment, the Red Pyramid Thing exists to remind James of his past actions and the included signature weapons are instruments of James’ inner torment.” The creature comes with a blood-splatterd smock. As well as a mannequin, nine bugs, and several blood splatter effects pieces for the weapons and figure’s body.
Preorder the big guy (at around 6.6 inches tall) for $100 and delivery next November on Mezco’s site. See more photos in the gallery below.
