It has been two decades since Marvel and DC last let their characters crossover on the comics page. The publishers previously announced that a Deadpool/Batman series would be the first in a series of team-up specials in Fall 2025. Now DC Comics and Marvel Comics have confirmed three more crossover comics and the creative teams behind them.

“We’re going to all corners of the Marvel and DC Universes,” shared editor Mark Basso. “The creators are having an absolute blast finding the unexpected and unexplored connections between these characters, We can’t wait for the fans to experience the same jaw-dropping moments we are! And we’ve got some more secret stories in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for more to be revealed!”
What Marvel & DC heroes are teaming up?
Three stories have been confirmed for Deadpool/Batman #1 beyond the main story by Zeb Wells and Greg Capullo.
- Kevin Smith, who famously wrote both Daredevil and Green Arrow, will team Oliver Queen and Matt Murdock in a story with Adam Kubert artwork.
- Chip Zdarsky and Terry Dodson will join forces on a Captain America/Wonder Woman crossover.
- Finally, Kelly Thompson will partner with Gurihiru on a team-up between Krypto the Superdog and Jeff the Land Shark.
Each story will also have its own unique variant cover highlighting the heroic pairings. Four of these covers may be viewed below.
“This has been surreal to say the least!” Zdarsky stated. “Captain America and Wonder Woman are the best their worlds have to offer, both warriors for peace. Getting to explore a dynamic and history between them has been genuinely exciting.”
“Two icons meeting for the first time!” Thompson proclaimed. “It’s such an honor for Jeff to get to be Marvel’s ambassador in this crossover story with Krypto. Anyone who loves comics knows how rare it is for DC and Marvel to crossover, so Jeff getting to be part of this historic moment with Krypto, and Gurihiru and I getting to bring that tale to readers… well, sometimes this job is very cool.”
Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on September 17, 2025.
