There has been little information about the upcoming video game adaptation of Bill Willingham’s Fables, but now Game Informer has spoken with developer Telltale Games about The Wold Among Us and even debuted some images. Check them out below!
Telltale confirmed that the game will follow a similar playstyle to their previous games such as The Walking Dead and Jurassic Park. Players will be able to interact with their environment and make choices that effect the outcome of the story. In the game you take on the role of Bigby Wolf, formally The Big Bad Wolf, as he embarks on a murder investigation in Fabletown. Other characters from the series will pop up including Snow White, Ichabod Crane, Mr. Toad, and Colin (one of the three little pigs).
“As sort of a background threat, we felt like that was a really interesting place to be,” said lead designer Ryan Kaufman. “You can move through your world and have your adventure solving these murders and stuff, but there’s always this threat that someone’s going to notice you, see something they shouldn’t see. From a story and gameplay perspective, that’s a great thing to be engaged in and people are going to find an interesting and dangerous world to work in.”
The choices that players make in the game will drastically change the outcome based on what path is chosen. What road will you take?
Part one of The Wolf Among Us will be released this summer for the PC with an Xbox 36, and PS3 to follow.
