The Scoop on the New Smallville Season

Entertainment Weekly talked to Al Gough about the new season of Smallville...
"The season opener is a two-parter," says exec producer Al Gough, "because there's so much s--- going on, it takes two episodes to clean it up." Allow us to play pooper-scooper: Lana Lang (Kristen Kreuk) searches for Clark Kent (Tom Welling), who has embraced his dark side and run away to Metropolis, where he meets up with crime boss Morgan Edge ("Blade Runner"'s Rutger Hauer). Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) survives a plane crash and tries to figure out if his fiancée (Emmanuelle Vaugier) or his father (John Glover) set him up. Clark will encounter future Daily Planet editor Perry White and possibly Jimmy Olsen. Oh, and maybe one other DC Comics crusader. "We'd love to get Bruce Wayne," says Gough.
