Hugo Weaving ("The Lord of the Rings" and "The Matrix" trilogies) is reportedly in talks to play the villain Red Skull in Marvel Studios' The First Avenger: Captain America.

This is good news. Would have preferred a German actor to play the Red Skull (remember the Italian Fascist Red Skull in the 1990 Captain America movie? Played by an American actor? Of course you don't remember. No one saw it), but I suppose Christolph Waltz is too busy doing other things.

He would work out well. Weaving was quite good in The Wolfman. Even if you didn't like the movie you have to admit that.

Let's just hope the Skull makeup will be better than the Skeletor type from the Masters of the Universe movie in the 80's.
