What happens in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 trailer?
While the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians was based on 2005’s The Lightning Thief, Season 2 will adapt the second novel in the book series, titled The Sea of Monsters.
The synopsis for Season 2 reads, “After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp — the Golden Fleece. With help from Annabeth, Clarisse, and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival is crucial in the fight to stop Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood — and ultimately, Olympus.”
The cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 also includes Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus, Timothy Simons as Tantalus, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, and Sandra Bernhard, Kirsten Schaal, and Margaret Cho as The Gray Sisters. Additionally, Courtney B. Vance is taking over the role of Zeus, as Lance Reddick, who played the character in the first season, passed away in 2023.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on December 10, 2025. The show has already been renewed for a third season, which will adapt The Titan’s Curse.
