Latest Ms. Marvel Promo Emphasizes That Fandom Is for Everyone

More so than any MCU character before her, Kamala Khan begins as an existing fan of superheroes in general, and Captain Marvel in particular. So when she gets powers of her own, she knows what she’s supposed to do with them. If she can just get the hang of them. In the latest Ms. Marvel promo, we get to see examples of not just her fandom, but that of people around her. From Asian-American Ant-Man street art to a full on Avengercon, the appeal of superheroes crosses cultural boundaries, even in a world where they’re real.

And it’s not just superheroes — Disney fandom in general gets represented with a Mulan reference. Guess nobody notices she sounds just like SHIELD Agent May. (Okay, officially that show’s no longer canon, but considering all the other variants coming through, May ought to be.)
