Jude Law Will Headline Jon Watts’ New Star Wars Series, Skeleton Crew

Earlier this month, word broke that Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts will be creating a Star Wars series for Disney+. However, the official announcement was made today at Star Wars Celebration. The show will be called Skeleton Crew, and the cast will be led by none other than Jude Law himself.

As previously revealed, Skeleton Crew will take place in the post-Return of the Jedi era alongside The Mandalorian. According to a Vanity Fair report earlier this month, it will be ” a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.” While Law will have a leading role, a casting call is currently out “for four children, around 11 to 12 years old.”

Law has added several franchises to his acting credits within the last few years. In addition to his role as Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts films, Law portrayed Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel. He is also set to play Captain Hook in Disney’s live-action movie, Peter Pan and Wendy.

Spider-Man: Homecoming writer Chris Ford will reunite with Watts on Skeleton Crew. For the moment, that’s all we know about it.
