The Boys Season 2 Will Hit Amazon Prime on September 4
Last year, The Boys premiered to rave reviews and instantly became one of Amazon Prime’s most watched original programs. Now, we finally know when the series is coming back for seconds. Amazon has shared that The Boys season 2 will premiere on September 4. You can check out the official announcement via the show’s official Twitter account below.

The series’ cast, along with showrunner Eric Kripke, shared this news during The Boys F***in’ Reunited virtual event held earlier today. Patton Oswalt moderated the discussion, in which the cast answered fan questions and revealed as much as they could about the new episodes without spoiling too much.
Aya Cash, who will appear in season 2 as Stormfront, also showed up to debut a new clip featuring her character. Cash described Stormfront as a villain, though she doesn’t seem like one just yet. Unlike her comic book counterpart, a male supe who made no effort to hide his white supremacist leanings, this version of Stormfront is a social media influencer with a bubbly personality. Cash also teased that there will be “a lot of tension and combativeness” between herself and Antony Starr’s Homelander. However, she’ll earn his respect throughout the season.
Additionally, Kripke announced that unlike The Boys‘ first season, Amazon won’t be premiering all the new episodes at once. Instead, the platform will drop the first three episodes on September 4 and subsequently air the remaining five installments on a weekly basis.
“We decided that there’s just so much f***ing crazy s**t this season that we wanted to give the audience a chance to just absorb and recover after every episode and just get through the PTSD of whatever that episode is,” Kripke explained.
