The Bad Batch Arrives In New Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Trailer

Star Wars: The Clone Wars was the earliest casualty of Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm. Because of that deal, The Clone Wars never received a proper ending…until now. One week from today, Disney+ will revive The Clone Wars for its seventh and final season. To gear up for the end, Disney+ has dropped a new trailer for the series.

In the video, the Jedi reveal that the Clone Wars are going very badly for the Republic. The Separatists are winning, and the Jedi badly need to turn the tide of war. Enter Clone Squad 99 AKA the Bad Batch. As explained in the trailer, these clones are considered “defective.” However, they have “desirable mutations” which make them even more formidable in battle. Unfortunately for them, they’re going to have their work cut out for them. And in this war, clones are expendable.

Disney+ has also released a very brief synopsis for the season premiere:

“Captain Rex and the Bad Batch must infiltrate an enemy base on Anaxes.”

Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, February 21. New episodes will follow weekly.
