Netflix Debuts a Locke & Key Trailer and First Scene

Thanks to the online streaming service Netflix, the supernatural horror-fantasy Locke & Key finally made it to the screen. After several aborted attempts, the comic book franchise co-created by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez will be available for binge-watching starting next month. And now we also have the first official Locke & Key trailer, which you can watch in the player below.

The surprises are not over yet. The most observant among you have already noticed that an ominous URL pops up right at the video’s end. By clicking on RendellLockeIsDead.com, fans can open a YouTube video of the first scene from the series. You can watch this one too in the player below.

Locke & Key is a horror/fantasy series that revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them. From Carlton Cuse (LostBates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), the series is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family.

The series will star Connor Jessup (American Crime) as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones (Utopia) as Kinsey Locke, and Jackson Robert Scott (It) as Bode Locke, Sherri Saum (How to Get Away with Murder) as Ellie Whedon, Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke, Griffin Gluck as Gabe, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Petrice Jones as Scot, Thomas Mitchell Barnet as Sam Lesser, Steven Williams as Joe Ridgeway, as well as Kevin Alves as Javi and Asha Bromfield as Zadie.
