The Boys season 5 concluded with a lot of big developments and major deaths, as the story of Homelander concluded with shocking results. After the finale tied up all the loose ends and gave a glimpse at the future of the surviving characters, was there anything more that fans missed out?
Here’s a breakdown of the post-credits scene in The Boys season 5 episode 6.
Warning: Major spoilers ahead.
Does The Boys Season 5 finale have a post-credits scene?
The Boys season 5 episode 8 concludes by showcasing where the characters are after the events of the White House raid and the subsequent attempt by Billy Butcher to release the virus.
After Butcher’s funeral wraps up, the show depicts the lives of the remaining characters. Mother’s Milk gets married, with Ryan in attendance. Kimiko moves to France with her dog and reminisces about Frenchie. Meanwhile, Annie and Hughie open a business together and are expecting a baby, whom they decide to call Robin (the name of Hughie’s late girlfriend).
As the show wraps up at this point, there is a compilation of scenes at the end of the show. This is not a typical post-credit scene. Instead, it is a mid-credit scene featuring a montage of all the people behind the sets of The Boys season 5.
The rather emotional montage gives a glimpse at all the work that went into making the acclaimed series. This is also a good way to acknowledge the creatives whose faces are never visible on the show. Following this part, the usual credits roll on, with no post-credit scene after.
The Boys universe is set to continue with a new spinoff, Vought Rising, which is slated to feature Soldier Boy and Stormfront. With Gen V getting canceled, it is unlikely that the story will move forward anymore. Hence, a post-credit scene in The Boys season 5 would not have made sense either.
All the episodes of The Boys season 5 are now available for streaming on Prime Video.
