The Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga has finally come to an end, giving fans a glimpse at what the future holds for Yuji Itadori. Modulo, which launched on September 8, 2025, is a spin-off of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga by Gege Akutani. The manga ran for six months and ended in March 2026.
Yuji Itadori will have a similar fate as Ryomen Sukuna upon death
Yuji Itadori’s dark future has finally been revealed in the last chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. Chapter 25 of Modulo, which dropped on March 8, 2026, ended with Itadori reuniting with Kugisaki Nobara and sharing his plans for the future with her.
Modulo was set 68 years after the events of the original JJK manga and focused on the interaction between humans and the alien race, Simuria. At the end of the chapter, Yuji plans to exorcise all the curses before they get any power. He forms a strategy with Pand and Nobara to strengthen surveillance and the barrier around the world.
However, since it was revealed that Yuji is incapable of aging faster, he would die in about 300 years or so. Thus, he decides to become a cursed object after his death, making his fate similar to that of Ryomen Sukuna. Yuji chooses to do so to protect future generations from curses. Although Yuji decides to become a cursed object, he still differs from Sukuna, as the latter made a request to Kenjaku to turn him into one. On the other hand, Yuji is making the sacrifice to protect the future generations, and he is also tired of seeing his loved ones pass away while he lives on.
At the end of JJK Modulo, all the cursed spirits get eliminated from the world, and humans and Simurians start to live in harmony.
