A new rumor claims that Netflix is developing a Lego One Piece project following the success of its live-action adaptation. The report points to an animated project featuring the Straw Hat crew in Lego form, potentially expanding the streamer’s partnership with The LEGO Group. This development could mark the franchise’s first on-screen crossover into the Lego universe.
Lego One Piece movie or series possibly coming to Netflix after Season 2
A Lego One Piece project is reportedly in development at Netflix, according to a June 16, 2025, post by insider @MyTimeToShineHello on X (formerly Twitter). The post stated, “A Lego One Piece project is in the works at Netflix,” suggesting that Netflix may be planning a Lego-based movie or series tied to the franchise’s live-action adaptation.
Netflix has not officially confirmed the format of the project, but it aligns with the platform’s growing partnership with The LEGO Group. In January 2025, Lego announced multiple One Piece sets based on Netflix’s live-action series. The sets feature minifigures of characters like Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji, and are scheduled to launch before or around the Season 2 premiere.
Josh Simon, Vice President of Consumer Products at Netflix, stated in a January 2025 press release, “We are excited to collaborate with the LEGO Group, a brand synonymous with creativity and the joy of play, to mark a historic moment as we build out the treasured manga’s adventures in iconic LEGO form for the first time ever.” He added that the project offers One Piece fans “new ways to live out their own epic voyages into the Grand Line one special brick at a time.”
The reported Lego adaptation may follow Netflix’s earlier animated Lego specials and series, such as Jurassic World and Ninjago. The live-action One Piece series premiered in 2023 and earned praise for staying true to the manga and anime.
As of mid-June 2025, Netflix has not confirmed the format of the Lego One Piece project. The platform has not clarified whether it will produce an animated movie, series, or special. It has also withheld details about the production timeline and creative team.
