Disney’s live-action Snow White might be performing less than ideally at the box office, but if industry scoopers are to be believed, the movie’s two stars, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gabot, are being considered for Marvel Cinematic Universe roles. Notably, this isn’t the first time that speculations about these actresses joining the MCU have surfaced.
Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot could both join Marvel Cinematic Universe
Industry insider @MyTimeToShineH recently took to X (formerly Twitter) and claimed, “Snow White Stars, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, are both being considered for big roles in the MCU.” The scooper subsequently asked their followers, “Which character would you like to see them portray in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?”
Zegler plays the titular Snow White in the live-action feature, whereas Gadot portrays the Evil Queen. If the above-mentioned speculations ultimately turn out to be true, it won’t be the first time that these actors will essay superhero roles. As many might already know, Gadot played Diana Prince / Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe movies, and Zegler appeared as Anthea in the 2023 DCEU feature Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Interestingly, Gadot and Zegler worked together in that movie before they collaborated on Snow White.
As the MCU continues to expand, Marvel is constantly adding new characters and stories to the franchise. As mentioned above, this isn’t the first time similar rumors have circulated about Gadot and Zegler. Four months earlier, the same scooper speculated that Marvel was looking to cast the West Side Story actress in a role, and the post received a largely polarized response from the fans. As for Gadot, her last appearance as Wonder Woman was in 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984. There has been considerable speculation about her potential MCU appearance since then.
Besides the ones mentioned above, Zegler has also appeared in projects like The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and Y2K. Meanwhile, Gadot has been part of the cast of Keeping Up with the Joneses, the Fast & Furious franchise, and action-comedy Red Notice.
