A new rumor regarding Hugh Jackman and his status as Wolverine in Avengers: Doomsday suggests the star will be in the upcoming Avengers movies.
What is the latest Wolverine rumor surrounding Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars?
A new, cryptic post from noted insider MyTimeToShine on X popped up earlier today. In it, it simply reads that Jackman will appear in “Avengers,” giving no real notice of any other news or which film the insider might be referring to.
Despite the cryptic post, many took this to be confirmation of sorts that Jackman will appear in Doomsday, which has been rumored for some time. Recently, Jackman took to social media to share a video of himself lifting weights while being coached by trainer Beth Lewis. While the post was meant to show off the weight training and shout out his trainer, fans quickly began wondering what he was working out for.
Nothing officially has been announced regarding Jackman’s return, but stars who play characters in the MCU do often go through some rigorous training to get ready for their roles.
Although Jackman has yet to be officially confirmed to be appearing in Doomsday, the cast for the film is going to be massive. So far, several major stars from the MCU have been confirmed to be in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.
