Vision Quest: Kerry Condon Kills ‘Not True’ MCU Rumors

Academy Award nominee Kerry Condon has opened up about her recent rumored casting in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Vision Quest show. Last September, reports about Condon’s casting as the human form of Tony Stark’s A.I. assistant F.R.I.D.A.Y began circulating online. The Irish actress lent her voice to the character in five Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, starting in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Vision Quest serves as the second spin-off to the award-winning WandaVision series. It is set to feature the return of Paul Bettany as he reprises his role as White Vision. So far, the ensemble cast also includes Emily Hampshire as the voice of E.D.I.T.H. and T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, along with returning MCU stars James Spader as Ultron and Faran Tahir as Raza. The show will be written and directed by showrunner Terry Matalas, who will also be executive producing alongside Kevin Feige.

Kerry Condon reacts to Vision Quest rumors

During a recent interview with ET, when asked about Vision Quest casting rumors, Condon officially denied the reports, confirming that joining the MCU for a live-action role is not something that she’s planning to do at the moment.

“It’s not true. I saw that and I was like, ‘Who’s saying these things?,'” Condon clarified. “There’s no chance [it could happen]. But at the moment, it’s not in the cards for me.”

Should the acclaimed actress decide to officially join the MCU, this wouldn’t be Condon’s first major Disney+ series. She recently made her Star Wars debut on executive producer Jon Watts’ coming-of-age adventure series Skeleton Crew. She will next be seen in the highly anticipated sports drama movie F1, which will be led by Brad Pitt.
